The real Cambodian adventure begins with Eco-trails!

Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival

Catch your flight to Siem Reap. You will be met by an Eco-trails Asia representative and taken to your hotel. Enjoy time on your own.

Day 2: Exploring the Magnificent Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom Temples
Wake up early to watch the sunrise at the Angkor Wat and you will visit the magnificent temple of Angkor Wat, which was built by King Suryavarman II (1113 - 1150) to dedicate to God 'Vishnu'.  Angkor Wat, the largest monument of the Angkor complex and the best preserved, is an architectural masterpiece. It is perfection in composition, balance, proportions, relief and sculptures make it one of the finest monuments in the world. Enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurant near the complex. 
 
After lunch you will visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, the Bayon temple, is the exact center of the town of Angkor Thom. Having to power after the burning of the capital by a Cham fleet, he rebuilt the city and surrounded it with a strong wall. Then you will go on to visit Baphuon, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, and Elephant Terrace and Leper King Terrace. Return back to the hotel before heading for the dinner and dance show.

Day 3: More temples, Bnateay Srey, Kbal Spean and Ta Promh temples
After breakfast, you will departure to the north of Siem Reap to visit the citadel of woman - Banteay Srei temple - jewel indisputable of the Khmer art: entirely have been constructed by hard pink sandstone, wonderfully sculpted, perfectly preserved and restored. Then you will going on 13km from there to Kbal Spean "The Thousand Linga River" which was carved during the 10 & 11 century, Linga the symbol of Siva, god of Hundu, are carved along the river bed about 200 meters. This trip, you are going to climb the mountain by foot about 45 minutes to the distend of 2 km on Kulen Mountain. You will also see the 5 meters waterfall. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.
On the way back, you will continue to visit Ta Prohm, jungle temple which was built by king Jayavarman VII (1181-1218). The temple was built in 1186 for dedicating to his mother. At this temple, Angelina Jolie is an American actress, film director, screenwriter, and author, filmed the famous movie "Tomb Raider". After returning to the hotel you are free at leisure to experience Siem Reap’s nightlife on your own which includes many fine restaurants and lively bars.

Day 4: Cooking class and Rolous Temples
Today you will learn how to prepare traditional and delicious Khmer dishes for your own lunch. The chef will take you to the market and will explain everything about Cambodian vegetables, herbs, spices and other ingredients and he will teach you too the art of Khmer Cuisine.
 
After lunch, you will visit Roluos Group Temples: Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. The temples are built from the early of Angkor Period (802-1431). Preah Ko temple was built by king Indravarman I in 879. Bakong was built in 881. And Lolei was built by king Yasovarman I in 893.

Day 5: Boat trip to Phnom Penh
Today we leave Siem Reap for Phnom Penh by boat. The trip leave at 7am and it takes about 6 hours or so on Tonle Sap Lake to Siem Reap. Tonle Sap Lake is the largest lake in South East Asia and it is the main source of protein for Cambodian people. Arrive Phnom Penh and transfer to your hotel. 
 
Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on a tour of the Royal Palace, still the royal residence. See the amazing royal collection and the beautiful architecture before heading to the National Museum where pre-Angkorean pieces, as well as special pieces from the temples are housed.

Day 6: Phnom Penh
Morning visit to the Killing Fields. Enjoy the day on your own, then join our guide in the afternoon to visit the famous Russian Market where everything from souvenirs to car parts is on sale. Enjoy a shopping spree or just browse along with the locals out doing their shopping.

Day 7: Cycling Day around Phnom Penh
You will be picked up by our cycling guide and you spend a relaxing full-day outside of Phnom Penh, cycling on the bank of mighty Mekong River, Silk Island. Cross the Mekong River by ferry to Arrei Ksat and cycle along the bank on your left hand side past local villages. Cross ferry to Koh Oknhatey for a gentle ride. The island has fertile farmland and small village communities. We will stop at at many places from school to monastery to learn a little about Cambodia’s school system, visit a typical modern Khmer Wat and a silk weaving house to see how those lovely silk scarves are produced. Lunch at the island either on a Watch Tower or on the 'floating' restaurant on the river's bank. Return to Phnom Penh for a free evening.

Day 8: Departure from Phnom Penh
After breakfast your guide will arrange the transfer to the airport for your onward flight. This is the end of your stay in this wonderful country. Fly safely and see you again some day soon!
