Our guide was excellent and explained us in real details all about the historical sides and life it self in Cambodia. This three days were very interesting and the last day (floating villages) was also very emotional. I visited Indonesia before, but now I was striked by level of living and poverty of local people. Zdravím opět z Čech, děkuji za super servis po dobu našeho pobytu v Siem Riepu. Průvodce byl výborný a velmi detailně vyprávěl o všech památkách a životě v Kambodži. Tři dny pobytu pro nás byly velmi zajímavé a ten poslední (plouvoucí vesnice) i dost emočně náročný. Sice jsem již v Indonésii byla, ale tohle mě opravdu zasáhlo, úroveň žití a chudoba lidí. Ubytování rovněž super. Mějte se hezky a ať se Vám daří. Monika a Zdeněk a ostatní členové výpravy :-).

Schöner Kochkurs Google Translation Sela ist wirklich engagiert und versucht seinen Lehrlingen alles zu zeigen und beizubringen. Erst ging es zum Frühstück auf einen lokalen Markt, es wurde eingekauft und anschließend 3 Khmer Gerichte gekocht und ein sehr leckeres dessert. Die Rezepte werden mitgegeben. Alles ist super frisch und lecker. Vielen Dank nochmal!

Wonderfully authentic class This really was the perfect end to my trip to Cambodia! I wanted to join a class that wasn't just in a hotel or some professional kitchen and I was not disappointed at all. Accompanying Sela and his family to the local market for breakfast and shopping was a really great experience both in terms of seeing where the food comes from and normal daily life. Sela is very enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge of Cambodia, collaborative working with his community and all the lovely fresh ingredients - I learnt so much. His family are completely delightful and it was a really special opportunity to be part of their lives for a short while. The 4 meals we cooked were absolutely delicious and it's really hands on. Sela's wife kindly picked me a pestle and mortar too from the local market which I have already used since being home! Thank you so much for such a fun, educational and wonderful time!

Byť běžně služeb cestovek nevyužívám, tentokráte jsem dostala výborné doporučení a když mi navíc Michal, majitel cestovky, řekl, že je jejich sloganem "Dobrodružství začíná s Eco-Trails" a hlavně "Na pláži je každý druhý, vzbuďte v sobě dobrodruhy :-)" s dovětkem "... ale každý dobrodruh nějaký den na pláži snadno vydrží..." bylo mi jasné, že jsem správně :-) Michal, moc hodný člověk, mi velmi ochotně odpovídal na veškeré otázky ohledně Kambodži :-) Mám tedy mnohem větší přehled z dění, než kdybych se pouze procházela po ulicích :-) A navíc jsem s ním a ještě Sélou, úžasným kuchařem a hlavně srdečným člověkem, byla na jungle cooking class :-) Hodina vaření v džungli ;-) Byla to pecka! :-D Nejdříve chrámy s mnichy, posvátná voda tekoucí přes symboly joni a lingam a pak už 15km procházka džunglí na přání společně s černými mravenci, škorpionem a na mýtině dokonce stromy kešu oříšků a ananasy! Poprvé jsem naživo viděla, jak roste ananas :-) Cooking class byl zhruba v polovině cesty :-) Dokonce mi chytla pánvička nad jejím povrchem! :-D A to jsem myslela, že to umí jen kuchaři :-D :-D :-D Musím přiznat, že to k receptu nepatřilo o:-) :-D S Eco-Trails jsem si užila mnoho zábavy a dozvěděla se mnoho nového :-) Děkuji moc!!! :-) A příště na viděnou na jiné dobrodružné cestě :-)

During our travels we have been to many cooking classes in different countries. This one is by far the best we have ever attended. Our wonderful host Sela and his Wife gave us a great insight into Cambodian cooking and culture. It was a very authentic and fascinating experience. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking not only for a cooking class, but also to learn more about life in Cambodia.

Sela was a warm, gracious, and knowledgeable teacher who shared his love of Khmer food and the Cambodian people. He led us to buy fresh, local produce from his neighborhood market where everyone greeted us like we were neighbors, too. We then turned baskets of fresh veggies and fish into four unbelievably delicious dishes. Sela showed us the finer points: how to use a mortar and pestle properly, how to season and taste dishes for balance, how to enjoy a true Khmer meal with friends. I can't recommend the class highly enough - it's the perfect way to understand the heart of Khmer food and culture. Enjoy!

Great experience with Eco-trails! Tailor-made vacation for whole family in Myanmar. We have seen the country as locals do with help of our friendly guides often outside usual touristic paths. On bike, tuk-tuk, taxi, van, boat even on an ox-cart:) Great memories of people as well as places in our hearts remains even after several months of being back in central Europe.

The sailing in Myanmar was amazing and I was not expecting much more after that, but incredible things happen and the experience that came after was one of them! Living in small floating huts in the middle of a lake in Khao Sok NP, visiting Monkey temple, riding elefants and taking them bathing in the river, the amazing Angkor Wat and travelling from there on bike across Kambodia, meeting there people that had never seen a white man, shouting "Hello!" at us through all the village, I even can't describe here all the wonderful pictures in my memory as it is impossible! I felt with the guides as with my friends and they showed us so much. Never forget when Sai asked the villagers to play for us this weird musical instrument while sitting at the fire to keep us warm... Thanks to all of you guys!

Hi Petra, Siem Reap has been amazing. Michael, Yut and Sela have looked after us like we are royalty. Through the sadness of hardship and poverty, Sela has shown us hope - he is a most remarkable person! Obviously the temples were amazing, but the cooking class today was so much fun. Hope you are all well and it's not too cold yet. I'll let you know how we get on in Phnom Penh.
