Day 0: Arrival to Siem Reap

Welcome to Siem Reap, the provincial capital and gateway to the ancient Angkor Temples in the Kingdom of Wonder, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for the Angkor Archaeological Park! Our Eco-Trails Asia representative will meet you at the airport and you will take you to your hotel for check in. You will be free for the rest of the day, to relax by the hotel pool or to stroll through the city.

Day 1: Tonle Sap Floating Village, Silk Farm

After breakfast cycle for about 26 kilometers to one of the floating village on the Great Lake, Tonle Sap. We will experience the villager life and lives on mainland nearby manmade canal. Take mini wooden boat through while mangrove plants by hand make canal, straight to floating houses and village, school and pagoda on island. Out to rise of Tonle Sap lake visit some while birds. Turn around to fish and crocodile farm relax and will fresh you at the rooftop of local restaurant. The admire views of whole village. The houses and village stands on water whole year around. The different life will revealed you by season. The village moves twice a year. The boat will take us back to the dock then cycle to visit the Silk farm where we will see the traditional way of weaving and coloring of this traditional material. You will be able to purchase the products.

Day 2: Rolous Group, Cycling along the villages

Today will be a 65km ride. After breakfast at your hotel, we will cycle along the Siem Reap River to reach the temple of the Rolous Group, the Pre-Angkorian temples including Preak Ko, Bakong and Lo Lei. It is an ancient center of Khmer civilization known as Hariharalaya and explore the area to see the Khmer ceramic and leather carving centre. Enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurant.

After lunch we will cycle along the Angkorian path through Kirimanon village to learn more about the way of life living in that area. Enjoy dinner at one the restaurant in town.

Day 3: Ta Prohm Jungle Temple

After breakfast cycle to visit famous Ta Prohm, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. A fascinating temple that has been reclaimed by nature and resembles the setup of an Indiana Jones film!

Day 4: Bayon and the Sunrise

In the early morning we will cycle over quiet roads to Angkor Thom – the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII in the 12th century and access Angkor Thom through the South gate then we will continue to the Bayon Temple – a Buddhist temple built in around 1190 in the city’s center. Here, you will have the opportunity to admire its enigmatic smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara and visit the Terrace of the Elephants as well as the Terrace of the Leper King. After that we will cycle on the bikes along the wall to the west gate and cycle along the wall to see the sunrise. After returning to your hotel you will check out and we will transfer you to the airport.
