Day 1
Phnom Kulen
After breakfast at your hotel we will head for Phnom Kulen, for a two days trek. Phnom Kulen National Park is one of the most interesting destinations in Cambodia, as it features the Kulen Mountains. Once referred to as the Mount Mahendraparvata – the Kulen Mountain is a cultural and historical resort that marked the origin of the Khmer empire in the 9th century when King Jayavarman II announced independence from Java and declared himself as the ‘Chakravartin,’ meaning the Universal King. Visit the 1000 Linga and Yoni on the riverbed and then walk to visit the reclining Buddha. Dinner will be cooked on the camp fire. After dinner we will experience a night walk in the hope to see some night creatures. After the walk we will perhaps chat a little bit by the fire before getting into our insect-proof hammocks for the well-deserved night's sleep.

Day 2
Phnom Kulen
After we cook the breakfast on the open fire we will continue our trek. We will have a simple cold lunch on the way. In the late afternoon return to Siem Reap and civilization. After the shower and a short rest you will probably have a much more sophisticated dinner.
